    I dont think it is that expensive at all actually IF it is genuinely rust free.That would make it very rare.It will be very interesting to see what others think.

    In my opinion the tdi is more useable and obviously far more economical (easy 30mpg) .If it is as good as the advert says it could be worth the money. It depends on how much you want one really.:confused:

    As the p38 is getting on a bit the "common faults "tend to be much more affordable fixes these days .Easier said than done i know but its all about getting a good one .Take your time and get one with as much history and as few owners as possible .

    I have heard similar stories.There are some good ones out there but if i was spending 50k plus i would not expect to have to keep my fingers crossed.:crazy:

    I have now asked 3 different land rover specialists and they tell me the L322 is no more reliable than a p38 but much more expensive to fix .You would think they would know and thats enough to put me off getting one .
