Can't seem to find one...but I have a series 3 and there is a small rectangular plate missing ( held on by six tiny screws ) that covers the top of the clutch box pedal housing inside the engine bay. I can see gaskets for sale but not the actual metal plate. Any one got one ( screws would be...

Can't be tightened...needs replacing. You'll need the ball joint removal tool from Paddocks to do the job....or buy replace the whole droparm with a ball joint already fitted.

If belt appear OK...whilst running, give it a quick small spray with WD40....squeak will go :-)

Mine is a 1989 ....... this government will probably keep moving the goal posts so I never get tax free :( I pay about £225 btw....no emissions control etc

I have a belter of a Defender 200TDi....but I am looking to buy a Willys jeep to also have a play with :-) Prefer the CJ2A type or very close age wise to one. Usual over inflated prices on Eblag......so that's a non starter. Could hire a trailer ( live Wirral ) to collect. Cheers

I fitted an 'indoor' type to the windscreen but TBH, not really impressed with it :(

I have a 1989 90 with galvanized chassis (two months ago ), galvanized bulkhead; galvanized front cones and gearbox cross member. Also has installed is genuine 200 defender Tdi and has classic RR axles to give discs all round. Had new exhaust; very good doors, replaced gearbox and transfer box...

'Was' into model trains....into Defenders now ! :-) Prices best governed by likes of Ebay or ( like mine ) if new, check dealers prices etc. Cheers

Yup, copper always for me as well..used it for yonks with absolutely no problems whatsoever !!

Never had/have the need to use Low Ratio or Diff Lock on the mighty Defender 90 :) but is there any maintenance that I should do to keep all working? hate to drop into low and be stuck in there etc. All oils changed regularly and everything is tickety boo at the moment. Just a general...
