Wiring in driver's foot well causing trouble, what is there.

To update the situation, Left the car overnight. Turned the key this morning to see if pump worked, nothing. Done the same this afternoon and the pump worked  Started the engine, it ran for a few minutes, then cut out again (pump stopped) Would that indicate faulty relay...

Wiring in driver's foot well causing trouble, what is there.

Sorry Twinter, have been away for some time, but no have not changed the fuel filter. Yesterday done some work again. Finally it would start when, after fiddling with the wires, the fuel pump started working again. Then it suddenly cut out again, pump not working. Tried more fiddling, but...

Wiring in driver's foot well causing trouble, what is there.

Thanks Twinter, That makes sense now. As mentioned, I was under the impression my fuel pump did not work at all, because with a quarter tank left the car would only run idle. I now suspect the pump-output must have been less than normal (is that possible ?) Probably changing the fuel...

Wiring in driver's foot well causing trouble, what is there.

Should add, that I suspect the sub-zero temperatures aggravating the problem and causing more trouble in damp wiring. Is that right ? Mike

Freelander Tailgate problem - another thread

The good thing about the current situation is, that the tailgate window can be set in any desired position. The bad thing is that the rear window heating-and-wiper doesn't work. Am a bit afraid that this constantly taking the whole system in-and-out is gonna damage bolds, the plug or...

Bogger !! Shortened the cables, tightened them, re-wound inside the regulator as the cables were not in the right grooves and put it in-and-out 3 times. Still the same beep, beep. Now will slacken them, before tighten them again if nothing works. What I did...

    Rear seat stuck up.

Hi Mick, As far as I know there is a cable running from the handle straight down to the bottom (floor area). I got the same problem with my LH rear seat. Cable is snapped, and as far as I know I goto cut the back of the seat open to get to it. I didn't bother. But maybe an expert has a...

Freelander Tailgate problem - another thread

Hi, Yes another tailgate problem, to add to the others. Had to change the cables again. Last time I fixed it it worked fine. Done it with bike cables, just the end connection came loose. So fixed it again, and finished the ends with double screws to hold the strain. But the tailgate...
