Had a sticky brake, i.e. a sticky (front) caliper. Took the wheels off and started to undo the brake lines. First the off-side ones, then the near-side ones. The brake pipes were recently re-done (not by me, is still a bit out of my league yet) Then I struggled to undo one of the near-side...

Another obvious one :crazy: is to make sure all relevant fuses and relays are good before you start fekkin about with the wires, connections, switches, etc. Just to know the central locking and elec windows are on 1 fuse on some types. (#11 under bonnet I believe)

Take the electric schematic from the (Haynes) manual and follow (and check) the the circuit from battery to window. You'll eventually will find the fault. Sounds like an obvious solution, but not often followed.

I am just happy my V8 is running and passing the MOT. Leave alone I wish it would ever look as pristine as some above. :praise:

Eventually I want to drain all debris from the sump as well, but for now that could be a solution. Meanwhile will keep giving it the WD40 treatment.

That's my worry. I rather not change oil for the moment than change my sump. I did manage to get the oil filter off. That was at least 1/4 of the oil renewed. :cheer2:
