i have a discovery with a 2.5 300tdi engine fitted. im looking to blank off the egr valve but do i just blank it off with a metal plate or do i go and buy the proper full kit ? landyworld have the full kit for £12.99 with free postage. which one will give me best performance? thabks in advance

if youve not removed spark/glow plugs you may be building up pressure in the cylinder. if you remove the plugs and try again , if it turns over thats a better sign. if it dosnt cold possibly be a slipped cam chain.

i had a freelander for a month. diesels arnt that bad but i would never touch a petrol one. as long as brakes arnt massivly corroded you should be able to get away with light braking for a while. not sure about other two but sure one of the helpfull guys on here will have some advice

awsome. thanks a lot guys i only travel five , six miles to work but its mostly uphill there and its slow as fook. its ok as soon as i get on lanes as then i go as slow as i want but on road its so slow have to really throttle it to get anywhere . i had a read of the thread and ill have to do...
