Well as per the heading, I have a '87 ex WD 90 and I was wondering about the possibility of fitting an anti-roll bar to it. Has anybody any thoughts on this? Reason being the instability I have noticed at 50+ mph. New shocks etc ain't made any difference.

I used a 42mm socket and a 41mm ring on my S3.

Got the same tool kit and I am still chuffed with it after a year of some heavy abuse. My only tip is to keep the foam divider in during transport, you can guess why!

Re. steering box... Now is the time to think about power steering, I think it is the the best thing I've done to my ex-mod 90.

Used acme nuts and clips, a bloody site easier in my opinion.

They are not pressed in they have a thread on the end of the stud (part no VYR200010).

Take it to a VW dealer for an emission test, probably find that it's OK.

I was only 2 when 'Ice Cold in Alex came out but I'm pretty sure it was a series 1. Mind it was 57 years ago.

Always thought that B\W number plates were only legal pre Jan 1973. Found out today that it's rolling, so pre 1975 this year. We live and learn!
