    had a similar kind of problem on a mitsi 2.8 engine, used to start fine and run for about two mins then judder to a halt, after hours and hours of investigating turns out the front seal on the injector pump had started leaking and was putting fuel into the oil, so as a temp fix till the weather...

    Bf at2 iffy in wet getting 28.4mpg in a td5 disco, do quite well off road considering the cost, would recommend, they are a hard compound tyre, so the colder it gets the worse they get.

    How to free discs from hubs???

    for DAVID451, how hot will a disc get under braking, oh yeh hot enough to harm the studs and bearing tracks, how do you get anchor pins out then without heat? have a nice day now, ps steel can only be tempered above 800 degrees, as a fellow engineer you already know that, sorry.

    stick them in the oven to get them hot hot hot then pour cold water on till they are cold cold cold, will fall off, have a nice day now.

    i run general grabber at2's, dont like them on the road when its wet, hav'nt slid yet but you get no feedback, had a hilux on same tyre, felt alot safer. all the best.

    Well, knowing what i know now, NO dont take anything off except the black exterior plastic cover on the Apost, held on by three clips behind post and three down the front where the seam meets but you cant see them until the cover is off, where the screen has de-bonded it will have faded...

    p38 4.0 has the k series engine designed in the sixties, had one and it went wrong at a big expense, i looked at getting a range rover diesel, but for the same money you can get a disco 3 years younger, however the comfort levels on the range rover are far superior to the disco.

    Found my leak, its a summer repair, the windscreen has de-bonded at the bottom right hand side about 8 inches long down to the bottom corner, filled it with some rtv sealer as a temp fix till i can have the screen removed and refitted.

    Mine has the same problem, i took off all interior panels around the area but it it coming from behind the dash on the right hand side and still cannot get to it, next step is to remove bonnet, wing and drivers door, i suspect its where the bulk head meets the inner wing and scuttle panel, will...

    think you all need deep breaths, its winter, lanes dont hold up well this time of year, try christmas shopping with the wife if you want a challenge, or gettin parked without frustrating yourself, I can see both sides here, it did come over a bit blunt although a valid point you made.
