    are my arches big enough

i wouldnt worry to much as they dont stick out that much. Alot of people around by me have them twice as bad as that and they never seem to get pulled up.

    South Dorset Green Laning

Ah no need to be scared! Although I very nearly rolled mine at matchams trying to go up a hill in the woods next to where the sand pit is!IT was piverting but luckily there was a tree to rest my roof on. By the looks of the tree a fair few people had contact.

Yes if you want an excuse but truefully no. Loads of standard vehicles go and even people in there everyday freelanders with kids just for a laugh and you also get people in bob tails and traybacks. Theres stuff for everyone. Yeah after the check he gets you to sign it so you got no come backs...

    South Dorset Green Laning

Matchams has no rules lol they do a safety check now on your vehicle before you enter. Its funny he goes to me ". Do you have a 1st aid kit" no " are your wheel nuts tight" yes right of you go then.

    blown diff?

Well i have pulled the diff out and got remaining half shaft out! Didn't take long to do at all even though I had to partly rebuild it as I need it to roll to move it out the way for a few days. I reckon I could do a CV in 30 mins and with basic tools as well quite confidently. Was really happy...

Stripped both sides apart at lunch. N/S is fine, O/S has has snapped the end off also looks like its twisted. Looks like im gunnahave to take the diff out and inspect that and get the rest of the shaft out

    what a day!

Ha how funny! Although you do realise they are not called towing eyes don't you? You have to refer to them as tie down rings otherwise you must be clueless

    blown diff?

Went off roading on Sunday and apppear to have broke my diff I think. Basically when I was stuck and trying to get out my landy let out a loud clonk and I lost all drive to front wheels. Now when I drove it back if I went up to 30mph I would get what can only be described as a death wobble...

    what a day!

totally agree on correct ropes. Thats what they are disigned for. A little tug on a normal strap wont hurt but with a run up causes amazing amount of sudden stress and will only brake some thing. Oh and as he discovered always go from tow bar or as suggested a proper hitch. Would like to see...

    what a day!

Im gunna always remember me spade to dig stuff out a bit. Could relieve a lot of stress on the chassis or crossmember. After all its old steel and wasn't designed for huge tugging. Although with them plate you would do well to rip that out. It cover a fairly big area. Bet its sh!t scary when...

    what a day!

Looks good but my tow bars a lot higher than yours. I'll have to do some tweaking when I get a chance. But I just been informed I gotta put to classic cars in my garage for a while so that's all out the question for a while. I'll get me chassis and ring put back on, then its time to have a think...
