Yes – not sure about the first gear (did a fair bit of towing with the truck cab) but certainly had to shuffle through the gearbox quickly (ratios too close together?) – On balance think the preferred my TD5

Agree with all these comments but I have had both a 90 Truck Cab and Hard top on long term loan from J V Likes (excellent dealer when dealing with warrantee issues) and had to say it was just so cramped in the cab... I felt like I was sitting in a small space surrounded by black plastic – agree...

Yes thats right they are captive - I have just changed mine last sunday and the set I got from MUD came with a whole load of nuts that I ended up not using... always a worry that!

My 90 TD5 is the same - its not an issue just the gearbox and drive running at normal operating temperature, can get warm on long run in the summer but be thankfull of the heated seat option in the winter...
