No its not a tube - its an exsiting skid plate but with no recovery points, thought i had seen a thread about wider than standard landrover (genuine) jate rings but cannot find it now?

    Front Recovery Point

I have been asked to fit a front recovery point to my 2005 90. It has a standard front bumper and a steering guard which I think makes standard jate rings too narrow to fit on the chassis – though I had read that LR made a wider version – any one any ideas. I have seen some quality ones at...

    New Defender Problems

Yes – not sure about the first gear (did a fair bit of towing with the truck cab) but certainly had to shuffle through the gearbox quickly (ratios too close together?) – On balance think the preferred my TD5

    CB Radio Mounting Locations

Cheers – I have a MUD tray and their centre console is the same as the LR original but with no cut outs – still searching as suggested.

    New Defender Problems

Agree with all these comments but I have had both a 90 Truck Cab and Hard top on long term loan from J V Likes (excellent dealer when dealing with warrantee issues) and had to say it was just so cramped in the cab... I felt like I was sitting in a small space surrounded by black plastic – agree...

I am looking for a suitable place to mount my new CB radio (xmas present from my misses... god bless her) and was thinking about cutting a hole through the centre console in my 2005 90 in the location were the old swivel ashtray used to be just below the din mounting spot for the existing radio...

    Warrantee.. good!..bad!..or..never!!

Have to say I agree. I looked at various options for my 3yr old defender with 55,000 miles onthe clock and FSH and got quotes from LR (£750 per year), Warantee Direct (£500 per year) and then stumbled upon the AA Cover. So for £198 I got my Defender and my wife's Ford covered plus my BMW 1150GS...

Heater Position Control Cable - very stiff

Can anyone offer advice or info on freeing the cables used to control the heater in my 90 TD5. The cables I mean are on the RHS of the consol and the left hand one controls the temp (that’s moving pretty freely) but the right hand one of the pair is very stiff. I have used WD40 and then oil for...

    Warm Air Coming From Somewhere

My 90 TD5 is the same - its not an issue just the gearbox and drive running at normal operating temperature, can get warm on long run in the summer but be thankfull of the heated seat option in the winter...

    Underseat Relays - any ideas?

Had Landrover Assist out today to get me going in my 2005 90. Its done 51,000 miles and never let me down till last night when it kept stalling and would not start. I finally got home 4 hours late... Seems that the underseat relay (especially the middle yellow one) next to the fuse box (big...
