lol, i allready have a defender, but also will soon have a spare disco chassis, (unless any1 wants to buy it???) so might as well make use of it, and as its been pointed out, they seem to rust less therefore it is a great chassis.

did you run it through the fuel?

i'm not the best of people for advise on this 1 but vehicle wise i would go for a 200 or 300 tdi defender 110 as this will be easy to work on, maintain and have sufficiant space and be best for fuel econemy. sounds like a great adventurous trip. good luck paul

if you are selling it i would advise stripping it and selling as parts as you would get more for it this way.

i had this happen to me years ago. sad when people ar cutting pipes when they may only get a dribble of fuel and it would be easyer to unscrew the tank plug. shame we cant get flame thrower alarms to tourch the f*****s when they try this.

if your getting a recon engine anyway just stick the cheap oil in. ive found diesels seem to run ok on anything.

on mine the switch is green and kind of oval shaped, i think this is the sort of thing you mean? it looks simular to 1 of the 3 switches but oval?

i know the switch you mean, i also have 1 on mine for my aux lights, dont know the part number but will see if i can find out if no body else knows.
