cheers fanatic :) dun't use any water, but gettin thru a pint of oil every 125 miles :frown: most of it might be falling out of the sump gasket which is fubar'd but it's burning/using a bit plugs aren't fouled and it still runs OK, so i guess not much to worry about for the moment, just a bit...

wat if its a petrol doin that? like mine does, with added bit o blue smoke on startup and under sudden power

bigger legs needed :) mine cruises at 50 everywhere if u have the balls to drive it round corners that quick... it's leany but it works issue with my brakes is it locks the back up first, not so good when irish hire van does u turn in front of you..... will do indicated 65 on the flat but...

mines called stan cos of its numberplate :) though it gets called worse when trying to park or go up hills or go fast...

gotta slightly stronga 1 from a metro on :) but yeh, theres only so far u can go, hardened steerin wheel beyond the budget slightly :)

I take the rotor arm out and have a dirty great bit of chain that padlocks the steeing wheel to the clutch pedal - park it next to a wall on full lock and cant tow it without chopping said massive chain

I've cleaned my carb out - seems to have fixed it a bit, whole thing was full of black stuff from the crankcase beather. seems to misbehave more when it's hot, maybe fuel vaporisation or something like that. still works 90% of the time :)

as above with mine as well, though i just had massive wood screws in mine (hooray for P.O.) and no captive nuts, bolted it on instead and tied the back down, job done :)

i've got rover metro seats in mine (cos they were lying about) and they're really comfy. too much bucket and you cant get in, too long a seat base and you can't steer past your legs... also chopped the back metro seat to go in the middle, so I have 3 :)

same as im above - tweeked me idle speed to stop it going out when comin up to junctions, still does it when hot though. pippetypoppetypop on overrun as well, so probably set a bit lean. ah well.

fwoar that's a bit pricey for me.... have you thought about an adaptor plate that would go between an existing 1 3/4 carb manifold and the landy one - i've got a 8v K series manifold wif the carb that might be close-ish in port size, i'll have a look next time i'm near it

springs are different left to right - small lean = front ones on wrong sides, large lean= rear ones or both on wrong sides - i discovered mine by finding a part number on a rear left spring that went with a r.h. spring (l and r sides are looking from back- rh spring is stronger)

hello all I've did a search and there ain't anything def'nit abut tyre pressures wot I can find running 7.5x16 (choobed) on series 2A truck cab and was wonderin whats the bestest pressures to 'ave em at for general road/occasional off road use? the internets answer is anything between about...

internally collapsed flexi brake hose? works like a valve so u can push the fluid past wif the pedal but springs aint strong enuf to shuv it back thru, it oozes back thru after a bit
