I would guess you would be better off replacing the seal as a whole or at least the bottom half because the less joins the better I would of thought to stop water and dust seeping through

Right lads just had the tape measure out and the pass side is 10mm shorter then the drivers side, So just my luck could it be as simple as a bent wish bone or a worn bush, or should I take it to a specialist to be checked over, there no obvious parts out of line and no obvious major play in...

Changed the rear diff mounts, and front anti roll bar drop links on the misses freelander both quite easy jobs ;-)
