Had quick search to see if anyone had posted this already.. What are peoples thoughts on this defender? I thought I had set my plans for respraying my project already - but this has made it a lot harder for me...

Clonk could be loose/playing propshaft - I had a similar thing on my 110. Although mines a 1994 300tdi so might not be relevant.

I was thinking about a 40mm lift? So thats just under 2 inches. I dont want it to look silly, and it also needs to do a fair bit of on road driving to get to the off road. So need a balance.

What are peoples thoughts on the lift in my situation? I have been reading lots of threads on here about them - some people really think its a bad idea. As I use the car off-road a lot would it be a terrible idea? The last thing I want it to be spending more money repairing everything because...
