    How's the conversion going?

    Thinking of buying one...

Good good. Seen a few videos on YouTube and they seem as capable as I'd expect. Does anyone know if it's possible to fit rear seats in a commercial? I'd prefer a commercial but occasionally itd be handy to have seats fitted.

    Thinking of buying one...

I guessed that would be the major problem but there must be people out there who green lane with theirs?

    Thinking of buying one...

Hi all, At the moment I've got a defender 90 with the old 2.5 td which is a play toy and as such I don't tend to go to far afield in it. I'm toying with swapping to a freelander, the theory being that if I want to go greenlaning further afield then the freelander will be a lot better to get...

WS4x4 Winch Bumpers - Any good?

That's why I haven't fitted a winch to mine in the 9 months I've had it and used the recovery eyes on the bash plate rather than the ones on the bumper... You pays your money, you take your chances!

Sankey Wide Track "Expedition" Trailer Build

Just a quick thought...I bought my side hinged tailgate from a mate who told me that he'd changed from the standard door lock as it kept popping open when the body twisted slightly as he went over bumps etc.. The trailer looks amazing, it's inspired me to do something with my sankey... Although...

    Water In Engine? HELP!!!

Nope, the head gasket will be warped/split/or maybe lifted. There is only 2 places that water and oil can contaminate each other. 1 is if the head gasket is shot and the other is if the engine itself is cracked. More likely it's the head gasket

    Stuck on this one !!!!!!

A mate had similar problems with a 300tdi he fitted into a series...in the end dragged it round and round and eventually it ran... But only after the rag his dad had left in the air intake had been combusted!

    Stuck on this one !!!!!!

Heard that rumour myself, think its more likely people use easy start etc to get them out of a bind and then never get round to fixing the underlying problem

The results of letting chavs own Land-Rovers.

I went out to a 90 pick up that had been chaved up a few weeks ago...the supposed fault was that it had started wondering all over the road and it was unsafe... I couldn't agree more, I felt the owner was at a real risk of having some sense being beaten into him! The actual fault was that it...

    Half shaft concerns....

You could probably pick up a complete, non welded axle for £100...I've never paid more than that for one

Request for help - Not starting.

Your confusing me with the original poster, he's the one who was worried his elastic band has snapped, I tried putting it in simple terms to help him. As I go out on a fair few breakdowns, 38 in 3 days last week I have to deal with all sorts, from the mechanically inclined, to the dumb ass...

Request for help - Not starting.

Strangely enough I don't know or care if there's a belt or chain on this type of engine, (its a range rover, therefore I'm not interested) but what I was trying to do (like some others) is help and point the original poster in a direction which might of helped him. Maybe if the rivet counters...
