    Throttle cable adjustment

Quick look through LRcat shows the linkage on the V8 EFi Defender looks like yours. Are all the springs in the diagram on yours? https://new.lrcat.com/#!/1228/13789/14762/1164/15073 ETA. The hose in your pic looks like it's got a lot of tape wrapped round the end. Is that hose nice & tight &...

    Throttle cable adjustment

I wonder if it's worth removing the throttle cable from the car & seeing if its operation is smooth? Possibly hang it up & allow some light oil to run down inside - much the same way as oiling motorbike cables.

    Throttle cable adjustment

The cable with the silver crimp bit on it is the kickdown cable & needs adjusting as per the above or you will have issues with the operation of the kickdown. The cable with the rubber boot thing is the throttle cable. Remove the rubber hose from the front of the plenum chamber, prop open the...

    Classic top tailgate

Put one of the self assembly kit ones on mine years ago. Think it came from Famous Four. No issues putting it together although knowing what I know now I'd have replaced all the supplied screws with stainless steel. Be careful cutting the old frame as if you catch the glass it can shatter...

200TDI Oil Sump Plug - Which Copper Washer to Use ???

Sometimes copper washers are hardened by the stamping out process they are made by. So are likely to benefit by being annealed - as mentioned above - which will soften them again. And another vote for PTFE tape!

    Calliper bolts Defender td5 sw 110 2000

Think they're FTC3375 M12. The 'funny shaped ones' are 12 points & need a normal 12 point ring spanner or socket. The 12 point is effectively a 'double hex' & will undo normal hex bolts but I prefer hex on hex bolts to avoid rounding off corners on good bolts & usually removing damaged ones...

    Land Rover Discovery 1 V8i 3,9 L EFI doesn´t start

Genuine parts cap & don't use the rotor arms that have the metal strip riveted to them. As above, if you did pull the rotor off without pressing down on the reluctor (the 8-point star shaped thing under the rotor) a quick check is to turn the rotor arm with your fingers until it stops & release...

    110 brake pipes.

If it's the Laser 2943 (same as the Machine Mart one) it will be fine on copper or kunifer but you're wasting your time if you're trying to flare steel pipe. www.lasertools.co.uk/product/2943/Flaring-Tool-10pc

P38A How to disassemble wing mirror to spray paint

Housing & bracket only show as complete assembly on Lrcat. I've painted a lot of wing mirrors on a lot of cars (professionally) & I've just masked up as required. Don't forget to remove the tape carefully from the non-painted bits after the last coat before it dries.

    Ride height

Nothing in the owner's handbook? You didn't ask the seller to show you how it works? If you're going to ask questions in order to stand the best chance of getting an answer you need to at least: 1. Give model, engine type, transmission & year at the start of a new thread. You know what you've...

If you do then as already said by datatek the swing of the readings must be smooooth without any sticking or sudden jumps.

    Aftermarket TPS

Very likely a faulty TPS. Try a 'wiggle test' of all of its the wiring you can get at & see if anything happens. Plenty on ebay etc for various prices. Can't say I'm a fan of cheap aftermarket stuff though. You could raise the issue with the suppliers of your TPS but many won't accept returns of...
