Fuel and water don't mix. you'd have a layer of water with the fuel on top. anyone who checked / drained their tanks would notice the quantity of water, and quite rightly complain. MW

No idea about the scotchlock. Spare plugs could be loom for foglights? Favourite for the main beam problem is a short in the plug that goes onto the bulb, or the bulb itself. MW

Sounds to me like it thinks it is in extended ride height, and is trying to drop out of it above the 'trigger' speed of 18 mph. Will pop over later on with halwkeye and read the codes, and see if it knows it is on springs? MW

Anticipation is everything.... For example, if you can adjust your speed to ensure you are not at the junction / bend / pinch point as the guy coming the other way, then even if he stuffs it up and slides across the road, he won't hit you because you are not there. It's as much about planning...

from what i remember of mum and dads 2 door, the seats are rigid, the clever bit is the seat base, which moves forwards in a sort of parrallelogram action, resulting in the seat moving forwards, and tipping at the same time. MW

It depends very much exactly how much of a system you have got..... Conceivably, the compressor could have seized, and the 'quick fix' was to bin it, and fit a shorter belt to drive the remaining ancillaries. in this case, then it might be a case of fit new compressor, appropriate belt, gas...

trolley jack can go under the diff. It'll go up a bit off level, cos the diff is off centre, but not too badly. MW

pull it onto the public highway, then call the RAC / AA or other breakdown cover provider, and ask them to recover you! MW
