    Does anyone know if the auto gearboxes in a V8 will go into a Tdi? I have been asking around & have been told variously yes & no. Some say they are the same, others that they have different ratios & are totally unsuitable. Any definitive answers????

    Thanks for that. Unfortunately the level seems to be ok - with engine both cold and hot. Guess that means a knackered gearbox - might be one bill too many. Repairs have averaged 100 quid a month :eek: since i got it & thats before this one!!!!!!!:(
