What to put on a cleaned chassis?

Dinitrol is what I've used. Bought a huge kit with tons of containers and a sprayer. I bought cavity spray and wax. Only managed to do the cavity stuff. So far very pleased. And one heads up on the old engine oil - use it if you want to - but used engine oil turns acidic (plenty of info on the...

    Fitting Winch To 110 TD5.

In Finland we used to cover up radiators at below -5C in case it got down to -15C or less. :D In these areas I'd let the thermostat do its job. Anyway, very tidy winch install. One day maybe I'll be installing one too.

    Fitting Winch To 110 TD5.

I'm hoping this is a work in progress and that you're not covering up the radiator.

Yes, I might do that anyway.

    RX8 seats

Thanks, crustyness aside, I reckon some quick release system would be sufficient. Unbolting them in front of the garage is not a problem, but jump starting the car without tools is a slightly differnt matter. Thanks!

    RX8 seats

I.e slide them off the rails, or unbolt them? :)

Very interesting. Anyone got any photos, and how have you solved the access to the seat boxes? Thanks! :)

Blacksheep offroad crossmembers back in business

Clive, I've had limited contact with demanding customers and even with my very limited contact there's some really strange attitudes out there. I'm currently trying to avoid going back into an office with my own small products. My products are a lot higher quality than the "regular" ones you...

    How to paint my hinges

I hung mine up on the laundry line then sprayed mine with zinc based primer, then satin black. I used stainless steel fasteners. All seems fine.

Changed the storage setup in my 90 today :)

Many thanks for posting this. I've been pondering what to do with the load area of my 90 and this is providing me with a lot of ideas and inspiration. However, I've got a flip up seat on the right hand side, so I'll have to figure something out about that one. :) Anyway, thanks, keep the pics...

    Aircon and Leather or not

I thought I'd miss the aircon, but I don't. Open the flaps and the window a bit, make sure you're traveling in non-restrictive clothes. Shorts and wicking-t-shirt for example. The air turbulence is surprisingly refreshing and "basic". :)

Grub screws, that's the name. :)

    Wipers slapping bulkhead

Also make sure your wipers are sitting well on the axle. There's a little screwthingy (can't remember the correct name) on the wiper that locks it to the axle and mine tends to come loose. It's easy to check, wiggle your wiper up and down and see if the axle moves the same amount. If not...

    Van top fastenings

Thanks, I've had a look, and I think I'm a bit confused but I do have figured somethings out. The tub capping is in one piece, but you can get some in 2-piece? 90-110 & Defender Body Cappings & Corner Finishers at www.rimmerbros.co.uk And the one I need is the rear corner angle. MXC8935 - Rear...

    Van top fastenings

Nice, thanks for the link and the photos. I had a look at mine last night and the tub cappings are actually quite good, it's just the corner cappings and the top of the rear that needs attention. :) And one side is behind the spare wheel carrier. Hohum. :D

    Van top fastenings

Thanks for that detailed description. So all in all it doesn't sound like a difficult thing to do. Just get the cappings, seals and riverts, maybe some paint, and plenty of time. Did you use waterproof pop rivets or will any rivets do? Would love to see some photos of the finished job. :)...
