L322 Suspension goes up not down!

You have obviously been to a guy who doesn't know much to say the least. My counsel Invest in a Gap iidtool and read out the suspension errors. Calibrate it properly. All you need is a tape measure and your phone as it works by Bluetooth. The picture shows a typical de calibrated situation...

    Td5 disco 2 wouldn't start

Icar... No All rovacom(blackbox, nanocom) products yes Hawkeye Pro or total yes Fitch the aftermarket thing, it only causes conflicts. Get a BCU of fleabay if you don't trust yours. I have always 2 sitting here, preprogrammed v8 or diesel with immo off. You still have to match engine ECU and...

    How much are you paying?

Including road tax £ 113 for the Rangie and 118 for the Disco 2 v8. It is collected all together here. Insurance is about half.

    Defender Transfer box parts ?

Ashcroft buy in. Go to evolution (EAC), they actually make the stuff, they have been always reliable. Suppose you mean a 1:1.41 lt230...

Again: EWS and TD4 swap- help needed

The EDC said immobilizer timeout. One classic example for unhelpful codes. I usually don't like working with codes, here it was the EWS life value of the key and more importantly the USB oscilloscope that solved it.

    The LZIR Map

I have been for 5 years in Costa Rica now. The guy I sold it to is s lot more expensive ... Not my fault. And yes I did a lot of repairs on P38s. But can't go it in France now, having said that I already repaired a BECM and engine ECU from Canada

Give us a hint - it's the least you can do....

We have more rain than Britain. 1800 mm here, about 5000 a year in some places... But we do love our Rangies. I am still dreaming of having the 2 door window lick rubbers made new, I'd already have 50 clients in my country. PS mine doesn't fit in your categories.. it is a 1983 2 door 200tdi :)

    Straight piping 200tdi

Yes I have done this because my Rangie is s 200tdi. Goes better and don't forget to use a bigger diameter. Sure it sounds better and the smoke looks better too in nice puffy clouds when you accelerate hard uphill :D

    Classic Rear diff problems

Yes saves a lot of time. is exactly what happened with mine. Lost a day on the transfer box but swapping the diff took less than two hours, of which 30 minutes were dedicated to a round nut on the diff housing  The Rangie was my daily workhorse then so there was all the time in the world...

    Td5 disco 2 wouldn't start

In principle you are right. But I had two cases when the bcu suffered from Alzheimer's and I needed the EKA. My Disco is a daily transport so it is not going to happen to me.. well :D. It never is a bad idea to know it

how do I alter my thread title to solved?

I am new here and it is probably very simple but I can figure it out.

    Td5 disco 2 wouldn't start

My Disco 2 has no working remote or transducer or whatever. All you need is disable all the immobilise and alarm options and know your EKA. Just saying. The luxury version was worth 500 colones and 2 beers

Again: EWS and TD4 swap- help needed

I have rooted around and found a plastic ring. The cowl around the ignition switch was broken and repair somehow which might have caused the problem. Then I saw on the v6 that there is a luminous ring which wasn't on the TD4... Yes, that may well change the position! Well on Monday I'll be back...

Prop-erly Shafted (in the right place hopefully)

They are definitely the same prop shafts . If the prop shaft was bad and the IRD was replaced by bet would be that the vicious coupler was bad. You don't mention how many Kms it has done, I have seen them go between 110 and 180 thousand. If it has more that would be nº1 suspicion. Get a new one...

Again: EWS and TD4 swap- help needed

@admins.. how do I mark this a solved, to help others? Here is the signal when it works.. if it ever happens to you!! the blue line is the feedback from the coil, it looks the same with the engine running or off, hence it is a much weaker signal than one that is generated by a bigger distance.

Again: EWS and TD4 swap- help needed

@andyfreelandy thank you. I just cracked it :):D It is the axial position of the coil. Will make a ring on Monday so that it comes further out closer to the key. I found out leaving the Hawkeye Pro connected and fiddling with the ring loosely in the air. All of a sudden it said key 2...
