    busy weekend

im having seconds thoughts on doing the thermostat. from what i can see, it looks like the pipe from the coolant expansion tank goes straight the the pump and stat, so surely the stat must be opening if the water is circulating or is there more to it than that?

That's fine. The coolant tho is full of oil gender reason for renewing oil cooler. When i flushed using before using rad flush it didn't budge much of the crud. Then i heard you can use dishwasher liquid.

    droplinks not the prob?

well the next thing im trying is fitting rubber bushes around my roll bar at the nearest point to where it would hit the strut. if this cushions the knocking then i can pin point too the droplinks hopefully.

    droplinks not the prob?

I have an idea for a diagnostic, do you think if i somehow wrapped a rubber bush around the rollbar where its most likely to touch the strut and then see if the knocking sound is softned and that could pin point if it is the drop links

    droplinks not the prob?

    droplinks not the prob?

first of all i did the drop links about 6 weeks ago, no change, then i did the track rod end ball joints 2 days ago, no change, then today i did ARB bushes, after doing the bushes the roll bar was much tighter more central and didnt move in the slightest (thats just using arms strength, but...

    droplinks not the prob?

sorry to drag out this tread... i replaced my ARB bushes today and now its as stiff as corps. i cant budge it atall, which is a good sign right. Im pretty sure its as central as it can be. HOWEVER...knocking still there. do you think i should replace the the droplinks again one more time...

    droplinks not the prob?

Also. While I was replacing track rod ends I noticed that when on full lock I could practically move the droplinks and make them touch the closest thing to it. Could this mean that the roll bar bushes are buggered? Surely it shouldn't be doing this.

    thermostat td4

I don't know if I'm miss reading this but im searching for a thermostat for the td4, as far as I know the part number i got is PBM100040. So I googled it and some sites say its a "oil cooler thermostat" is this right? Are there 2 different stats? I just want the normal coolant thermostat, is...

    omg shoot me

panic over, all done, i just had to be patient and keep drilling and it eventually came off, omg, all because some idiot previous owner or whoever last replaced the track rod end ball joint tightened it up so much, and i mean so tight they rounded the nut. a bit of advice, no need to be so...

    omg shoot me

no no, track rod ball joint is off, only because i have to grind it off, now im stuck with trying to drill through thr bit where to thread and nut goes, and drill bits keep snapping and blunting, paid alot of miney for them, apparently they drill through all sorts of metal, clearly not.
