Hi paul,Gareth explained that in a lot less words than i could! Thats a 300tdi you`ve got there & if i`m not mistaken it`s an ES model which was top of the range at the time.Would`nt say no to one myself! mucky`un.

There is a small spring in the lock unit (circular) that breaks.Until recently that meant a replacement unit(£60) I hear it is now possible to buy the spring alone.Still a fiddly job tho`. The door has to be stripped inc.removing top frame & glass.Good luck.Bin there done that etc....mucky`un.

I`m gonna follow your advice on this too.The leaks in my Disco aint done my floorpan any favours.It dribbles thru the speakers & if the rain is heavy,forms a small lake in the roll back rear load cover.Hopefully mystery solved!mucky`un.

Last MOT on mine,it passed but they advised me that there was wear in the ball joints both ends of the drag link.Gonna be looking at this soon...my symptoms are similar to yours.mucky`un.
