Just did a test to see if the winch bracket could cope with recovering me from a deep hole, this is probably the worse situation for putting stress on the Freelander frame & the bracket itself. In a real situation its unlikely that a vertical pull would be needed but as the angle reduces to...

Just looking at those pics Lukas, I'm sure your "Chassis" rails finish further back than on the facelift, the aluminium bumper looks identical, if that is the case it means only the side mount design will be changed, thats why I designed it modular in the first place...:D

Just done a bit of research, the bracket mounting holes are the same on the V6 (facelift & pre facelift) as they are on the TD4 just need a pic of a V6 with the bumper removed so I can check nothing interferes with the centre part of the bracket if anyone has a pic ?

The winch bracket was designed by me, up to now no one has been producing winch brackets for Freelander 1's, the bumper is a standard TD4 facelift one

Going by your reg thats either an L series Like Lukas has or a 1.8 petrol, the centre part of the bracket which is the winch tray will exit where your number plate is the two side mounting brackets in there current form will not fit, we are working on changing the design of the side brackets to...

Kieran, the winch bracket will fit your TD4 in its current configuration, it will be more exposed than on my facelift owing to different bumper shape, it was specifically designed for the Warrior Samurai 9500SD winch, if anyone else makes a Shortdrum winch that may also fit but can't guarantee...

They are 225 x 75 x 16's, no wheelspacers but not much clearance between bottom spring cup & tyre, about 14 mm

Lol, I shouldn't slag it off too much cos the one place it has never been where my Freelanders have is on the back of a tow truck ;)
