I've used Phenolic ply, ie Buffalo board. It's a resin impregnated plywood from 9mm upwards. Nigh on waterproof and in a Landy that's a plus. I've built 2 removable sections on both sides, 1 houses the sink and cooker with storage and electrics, the other has storage and 2 removable sections...

Possibly unlrelated, but the works van did a very similar thing. Turned out to be a hole/crack in the intercooler pipe, pipe replaced and was right as rain again. The fault didn't appear unless the engine was up high in the rev range when accelerating, however it was affected at top speed even...

I fortunately had the £8.99 reversing camera wired into my headunit. Still going strong after 3 years as there isn't a shocking lot to go wrong with the cameras, i imagine it's the display units that cause an issue over time
