Mine is mounted on the nearside wheel arch below the sink/coooker. It is vented out to the rear of the landy near the rear door which provides plenty of heat. The exhaust is vented down and towards the rear door through the wheel arch itself. I'll get some pics...

Fit the canoe sideways across the front of the rack might work... Otherwise, simply fabricate uprights on the sides of 5he rack to accommodate the canoe, L shaped brackets will suffice and allow the tent to sit on the roof rack as intended

I never intentionally off road unless needing to get somewhere, skinnier tyres do have an appeal for carrying reasons too ( side mounted ) so I shall look at the 2nd market

I'm not a massive off roader tbh Does a slimmer tyre affect mpg? Less drag on the road perhaps or am i clutching at straws here with the marginal widths availble

What are the benefits? It's a typical idea to stick wide aggresive wheels/tyres to make your Def/series look more manly, but going the other way, i do love the style of the older series models with no extended wheel arch and slimmer wheels so i'm looking to justify going down this possible route
