certainly sounds like the fusebox is shot, dont buy a second hand one go for a newie.

have a look on this thread as im sure there was a link for the uprated stat which will keep your backside warmer than the standard ones.

they are about 90-100 quid brand new! if you find a good second hand one i would go for that.

why not change the resistor for the higher temp one and repair the broken wires in the orginal seat elements for a fraction of the price of those kits.

if you've def decided not to do it yourself then have a look on ebay theres a guy know advertises on there to supply and fit brand new motors for around £300 if i remember correctly.

for both blower to pack up at the same time would make me think there is a problem with the fusebox.

pretty sure you cant have a difference of no more than 6 degrees of temp. so having the left on 16 and the right on 28 wont work.
