That little micro bore pipe is another breather thing. My Y piece was blocked and I think that might have caused my overheating problems. I would hazard a guess that you're head gasket is now shot. Have a read of my saga if you like...

Dom consumed copious amounts of mulled zoidur last night and cannot, in any way, be considered fit. Hope you all have had a great time. And I'll be there next time - I hope!

Sorry to say I'm pretty sure it's your gasket pal. Best break out your torque wrench (or find a mate who's got one). Have you checked the little Y piece in the breather tubes between the header tank, rad and stat housing? Mine was blocked, but the damage was already done.

See the 'what mileage has your landy done' thread to see what I've had to do to mine in the year I've had it. Still, it only cost me £450..! (95 300TDi 5 door)

you just do not understand how the standard diff lock works I'm sure this might have been covered 'once-or-twice'. But then I didn't know when I first got my Disco. The difflock is front / rear. BTW: I was out last night green/white laning in ice and snow, pretty big hills and didn't need...
