On a more helpful note.... Try and have a civilised sit down with the dealer. He won't want his reputation tarnished. Explain that you didn't know about the HPI and assume that he didn't know about the faults. Show him what you've done to fix the motor and ask for a contribution to fix the oil...

Where in the country are you? I found a bloke local to me in Dorset who did me mine with a mag mount (soon to be upgraded as it falls of as soon as I drive down a lane) and springy twig for fifty quid. It's a basic 2nd hand Kernow model, but reckon it's fine fer what I need.
