Freelander 1 Clutch low bite point again

I'd bleed it with a vacuum pump and someone topping up the fluid. But once I've bled them I wedge the pedal down with the cap off and leave it overnight. What harm can it do?? A very good mechanic mate of mine told me to do it so I am blindly following his advice

Landrover freelander Td4 pre face lift fuel problem.

Yh it has 12 months warranty on it and my old one is still working. Think I may keep it in the boot with the tools needed to replace it. Its only a 5 minute job.

    Intermittent Starting. Please help!

Seems to me your garage has done something to your ecu. All seems electrical. I'd take it back to them and insist they sort it as they cause the problem. You aren't in a good position as there's no proof they harmed it. But if your confident insistent they might do it.

    Freelander 1 Starting problem

Have you cracked the injector pipes to see if you are getting fuel at the injectors? Could be pump related. Coincidences do happen. If it isn't starting with the evil easy start then I'd say your not getting fuel at the injectors. The pump is located in drivers side rear wheel arch. You should...

Freelander 1 Clutch low bite point again

If I've ever bled a clutch and ive got it over night I wedge the clutch down. It forces all the tiny air bubbles out . Thanks. Hope to contribute a lot. I don't know anything about land rovers really. But I own one and I'm a coach mechanic.

Freelander 1 Scratches to corner of car

I'd suggest filler or glass fibre to fill the cracks. Then when it sets sand it with 800 grit on a sanding block. You'll get it smooth pretty easily. Then prime it. If there are imperfections you can let the primer dry, fill again sand and paint. Until youre happy with it. You can get the filler...

    Identify hose TD4

Does it start and run OK with easy start? If so it's probably not the pump. If it starts and immediately dies then I'd look to the pump. If it runs fine I'd check leak off on injectors as if one is leaking the engine won't start.

    Coolent tank help

Could try a thermometer after a journey to check the temperature. See if it marries up with you gauge.

Freelander 1 Clutch low bite point again

Not a solution but to save you bleeding the clutch if you wedge the pedal down overnight it will self bleed if there isn't much air in it.

Landrover freelander Td4 pre face lift fuel problem.

Hi I am new to the forum and have seen a lot on this but nothing concrete. I'm a coach mechanic so have a decent knowledge of all things mechanical. My car decided that it just wouldn't start on me one day. Luckily I was right next to my workshop so pushed it in the see what the issue was. I...
