Well that one is upto my dad. The chap at the local garage is well into his old land rovers so will probably have one. I'll advise him to get one. Would they be any use to my 97 disco 1? Or my 51 plate freelander?

What would indicate a dead block? Pressurised water? And overheating?

So the chap phoned up and we are off to pick it up tomorrow. Whether that's a good thing or not time will tell. He explained the locking problem... Apparently if you lock the door with fob when you unlock it, it immobilises. He said there was a procedure of turning the key to get it going...

Looks pretty good. I'll work out what I need. I still don't feel confident. Maybe I'll give one a go and see how it goes.

So I've got a disco 1 and obviously it's a bit rusty!! Chassis is brilliant. and mountings all good. Front crossmember has been replaced. It's starting to rot a bit in the wheel arches and the boot floor has just started to go in the usual spot. I can weld patches and have done for the mot but I...

Master cylinder or slave cylinder I'd say. Slave cylinder could be leaking or the push rod isn't going in straight into the master.

Oh and he is only paying 1500 for it as it has an issue with the immobiliser. Apparently when you unlock it the alarm occasionally goes off. So this chap just doesn't lock it...

OK so what is nanocom? I'll have a look for those when we view it. Don't know if you looked at the ad but it's under 100k mileage. Might be lucky and get a good one! I may be back to ask for some help!! I'm quite handy with maintainance so hopefully will be able to sort some things.
