    L322 diagnostics

I have the i930 and i've been very impressed with it. It works with all the ECUs but you have to accept it will only read and clear fault codes which for £90 is all I wanted and it lives in the boot permanently. I've used it to reset my EAS twice so it's paid for itself as far as I'm concerned...

L322 HDC Inactive message on starting

The issue is usually with the washer pump. Check to see if the washer pump works when you operate the wipers as that will probably dismiss this as your issue. From what I remember they are wired so that the power for the washer pump comes from one of the wiper motors and if the pump fails it...

L322 HDC Inactive message on starting

+1 on the low battery. It happens on mine if I only do short trips. Had the battery tested and it's ok but not brilliant. I do 60 miles a day commuting so it gets a good charge most days. My headlamp wipers were causing a battery drain due to a problem with the washer pump. You can usually tell...

    L322 iCarSoft i930 Diagbostic Tool

Just bought one of these off the Bay as I'd heard good things about it. Have to say it's a pretty solid bit of kit. Had a quick play with it to reset my "Air susp inactive" warning and it worked a treat. I'd been on a gentle off-roading day in Exmoor and it must have upset something. Reset it...

    Air suspension needs recalibrated

Slightly off topic but at the moment the Euro is our friend as a Faultmate is now around £800 for an early L322. Still a bit much for me but if you were looking to get one now would be a good time.

Which one should I buy with my £6000 ?

I looked around for ages and got a 52 plate TD6 from a so-called Range Rover specialist for £6k. Came with lots of history and most importantly a recon gearbox from another garage with a receipt and guarantee, so hopefully got a few miles before it needs doing again. The"Specialist " knew...

    L322 Range Rover L322 Project Thread Mods'n'Fixes

The problem is usually a small o-ring which stops the water leaking into the motor. You'll probably find a load of gunge inside it. However it is usually repairable, simply needs a clean and a new o-ring. Google the repair, the o-rings are available on the bay.

I used Navcoder on mine, not sure if you can do it with anything else.

Radio volume was stuck, now not working at all.

There is a fuse under one of the connectors on the radio that is known to fail. You need to remove part of the rear floor to get at it, not a big job. Wouldn't explain the volume knob not working but would explain no power at the radio.

Radio volume was stuck, now not working at all.

BM54 is the name of the radio tuner unit. It's made by Becker and the model is BM54. Does the orange light come on next to the knob when you press it? If it does then the radio is getting power. Did the volume controls work with the CDs or cassettes? If it did then this would be further...

    2003 bluetooth upgrade

Don't need to disconnect it. The ULF will use the microphone etc. But you do need to get a "mit ses" one if you want to keep voice control.

    mk4 sat nav woes

The mk4 is prone to laser failure. You could just be unlucky and it chose to fail when you did the update. Lots of people offer a repair service on eBay but apparently it's not hard to do if you're confident. The led flashing can be an indication of not reading the disc. Unfortunately, no real...

    Lost Satnav Display...help!

Here's a couple of photos. The TV tuner is the silver box with the blue and white connectors. The TV blue connector is interchangeable with the satnav blue connector. The blue connector on the box under the satnav is the voice recognition box which is the one giving me issues as it has an...

    Lost Satnav Display...help!

Can't see any reason for the loss of sound. You could try pulling the fuese again and leaving it overnight. That sometimes resets things. Strange that you get a blank screen when you put the satnav back onto it's correct connector? I was told that the TV and satnav were interchangeable. A wild...

    Lost Satnav Display...help!

Assuming you've identified the TV unit as the problem, plug the satnav blue connector back into the satnav, leaving the TV disconnected. This will bypass the TV unit, I'm not sure which unit has priority over sound. This may sort your issue.

    Lost Satnav Display...help!

No problem. Glad it worked. The system isn't that complicated if you are methodical. I got mine back working using the same approach. The only thing left to do on mine is to get the on board computer stuff working. That's being more of a challenge.

    Lost Satnav Display...help!

The blue connectors on the TV and satnav are the same. Pull the satnav and unplug the blue connector after the red light has gone out. Unplug the blue connector from the TV unit and plug that in the satnav. If you get nothing then I'd go for a display problem unless of course both TV and satnav...

    Lost Satnav Display...help!

The TV unit takes over the display if the satnav is broken so if you don't get anything when you unplug the satnav you might have a display problem. The TV unit is the silver one on the right hand side at the bottom when you look in the area of all the entertainment stuff. You can try plugging...

    Ibus issue. Can anyone help?

I have managed to solve my issue. I now have sound on everything. I was advised to disconnect everything from the system in the wheel arch, leave it for a couple of hours and then plug it back in one unit at a time starting with the TV tuner as that drives the screen when the satnav is...
