Knocking on the front drivers side

Errrrr, Jack the front end up ( using axle stands to support) then spin the wheels up by hand you should feel a rough rumble transmitting from the cv joints if they're knackered, if they are that badly worn then they will have some up and down lift which shouldn't be present. Imo thats what I'd...

    non starter

I'd be very tempted to check the teminals are tight on the battery matey........ If youv'e had them off to change the battery, they are notorius for not tightening up fully and causing a bad connection. I would take them off give em a clean then re fit,if they don't tighten up fully I use a...

    heated rear screen fail

At a guess I would say you probably have some more broken wiring to the tailgate window motor, 9 times out of 10 its wiring and not a mechanical fault. I would get the trim off and check the loom carefully. I've repaired countless tailgate looms. Might be worth checking the regulator to as...

    heated rear screen fail

The most common cause of heated rear screen failure is the wiring in the tailgate unlikely the switch. First I would check the fuse if thats ok then see if you have power either side of the fuse this will illiminate a short circuit. If that checks out ok then imo its probably easier to remove...

    Maf test

Yes it will have one fitted but the chances are it has turned into a piece of coal..... BMW supply a modified crankcase breather that helps the crankcase breath more easily without blocking up as quickly as the original factory fit breather. Hope this helps

    Freelander Throttle Sticking

I would be checking all the crankcase and cam cover breather pipes for splits/perishing get the engine nice and warm and have a listen for any hissing noises....... If you are tinkering at home another way to diagnose an air leak is to spray some carb cleaner in the vacinty of all the...
