    My 110 USW

His is two years older, so more likely to have any issues, and I thankfully have a good relationship with my dealer.

    My 110 USW

Some pictures! Not sure what you mean about the wheels? They are wolf rims all round, I got them for being a special friend of Landrover (just kidding, they are on the options list) tyres are MTRs.

    My 110 USW

Well I finally went and bought myself a coiler. Its something of a 30th birthday present but sadly it won't be quite ready for my birthday tomorrow so I won't get it until next week. And no, it won't be getting any chequerplate, alloys, snorkels or winches etc...

    Can anyone save this 1-ton?

A chap on the Isle of Wight is breaking, yes breaking, a series III 1-ton. Considering there are only about half a dozen of these vehicles left on the road, it needs to be saved, not broken up! The winch, gearbox and dash clocks are gone, but I think the rest of it is there. The guys ebay...

SERIES 2B 1 Ton Wide Steel WS

200 quid for ONE rim? Thats insane...usually a set of them is about that.

SERIES 2B 1 Ton Wide Steel WS

My VERY early IIA 1-ton (chassis number 13, 8th vehicle completed) has 569203 rims.:D They are actually off a slightly later vehicle though as they were DBG under the inner tubes. I think there was no hard rules about which vehicles got which rims, I know of very original series 3 1-Tons with...

Is this a SIIa ?? And How bad is it??

The landrover will probably weight about 1300KG, so I fear it will overload your trailer. It would also have to be some pretty serious MPV to shift that much weight. The roof and canvas etc don't make much difference to the weight, less than 50KG all in I would say.

Is this a SIIa ?? And How bad is it??

Just for clarity, the long handbrake was introduced on IIAs in 1967.

new toy brought today at £300

Wow, nice find. Thats one that definately needs restoring properly and preserving, no bling or stupid mods. I'd love a stage 1 someday...

Is this a SIIa ?? And How bad is it??

Looks like a series 3, or at least the front end is. Do the doors have rails inside for the stays to slide in? Series 3 if so. A shame, as otherwise it looks a solid enough truck.
  16. 22900013a

    is it me or.............?

A series on alloys is just heresy.

    Waving

I wave at leafers, and usually Defenders...but its 50/50 if either lot wave back. Thats me in a series btw. Only ever had I think two waves off Landrovers that were not defenders of series. My work vehicles all wave at each other, I think we must all feel sympathy for each other considering our...

    An 88 for the Mrs.

I think we are some time off getting rope for it, got lots to do first!
  19. 22900013a

Project that hasnt been done before?

A standard series or 110 tub won't mate up to a lwt front end. Fab up a rear bulkhead and use a narrowed hicap tub.

    An 88 for the Mrs.

I also freed off the winch engagement mechanism, so once we get the crank dog fitted, the winch should work. :D
