Thats one really nice looking series! E reg would be a 67 so the wiper motor is right, I think its the windscreen thats earlier. There should be a cover plate over the wiper motor. I think the bonnet hinges should have been 3 bolt type by now, but thats not an issue really and I'm not 100% sure...

Sadly you can't get one fitted by the factory, it would have saved a lot of hassle if you could - I had to get it fitted my my local VOSA approved tacho centre once I had got my mitts on it.

And lastly, it now sports an appropriate spare wheel cover, and a coat of waxoyl on the chassis and inside the bulkhead.

My brand new 110 is scary enough at 70 (actually its quite nice, but you know what I mean) wouldn't really want to go any quicker, and don't see any need to. Plan your journeys properly and you won't need to either. All of us should know just how wobbly a Defender feels when you have to...
