Ok there seems to be an intermittent fault with the wiring to the underside of the console. Ok can’t replicate the fault under the console, so would any of the plugs inhibit the starting process if they were dodgy, would the only way out is to remove one by one to see ?

Ok thanks , I haven't done a huge investigation yet , but as soon as I lift the cover , and move it slightly it allows the key to work , so I am thinking its something there, its ****ing dwn at the moment so I haven't ventured out LOL! I will look at the cable adjustment as well , Thank you.
