might be too late but i always take mine to the land rover centre in huddersfield for any major work. they charge 40 /hr labour but they dont faff about, and they normally give it a good going over. i have no complaints about them.

if your negative like that, no one would buy a land rover! its part of the fun... im 20 so anything is cheaper than the insurance!

it is a fuel sedementer. it just looked damp and made a bit of a puddle on the floor while i was looking at it. the engines a td5. i guess it could just be a seal or something? they dont sem to expensive to replace so i may as well just do that i think

i'm looking to buy a 5 seat discovery 2 (S spec) everything looks fine but i noticed a cylinder or pump behind the rear right wheel, attached to the chassis near the damper. it was leaking fluid so now i'm trying to find out what it is so i know how much it'll be to replace. if anyone knows...

i had a new fuel lift pump fitted today and it's sorted itself out, no pressure anymore. which is the main thing. i can go to asda tomorrow without fear of causing an RTA.

got a new fuel cap and fitted a new jubilee clip on the filler neck. all is good now!

did you fix this problem? i'm having the same issues with mine, except today it totally stalled on a motorway, seems to only happen at 50+ and when going up a gradient. i think the problem is the fuel pump or the filter.?

thanks for that. has anyone fitted genuine landrover spots? this is the first time i've done it- theres a black wire and a blue/yellow wire. i assumed black was live so i connected them in series and then to the relay and the blue/yellow i thought was earth. connected it all up and they didnt...

on the relay for the spots, should 86 go to earth?

no, no black smoke. and it runs fine, no loss of power or anything. is the wiring kit specially for landrovers or is it a general wiring? relays included?
