freelander 1 td4. full lenght front to back brake pipes on the offside need replacing they are leaking fluid .can I have some info how to.and is it a diy job. and rough price for this job if taken to a garage .thanks

you cant go wrong if you buy online at eurocarparts just type in your reg and it gives you a choice of oils and more parts for your car .easy if you don't know, hope this helps

done mine in feb 2013 and still working a great temp sits at half way and heater nice and warm. very tight fit in the top hose as its slightly different on the auto td4, the thermosat is 83c for a old renault 5 :D Attached Thumbnails

GREAT,,,,,.can confirm i filled ird through the breather pipe from the top of the engine next to turbo filter.i put 1 LTR through the 6mm breather pipe took about hour to go all into the ird but job done . also thanks to bell engineering for confirming it is possible to fill through the breather.

still cant remove bolt . BUT can i fill through the breather .uploaded pic as anyone done it this way will it be ok .

help ...my IRD level filler bolt rounded cant get it out ive tried these impact driver / big bar 19mm socket / a welded a nut to the ird bolt but wont weld to ird bolt soft metal . but can i fill through the ird breather pipe has anyone done this ? :mad:

ive done three fluid changes since 2010 . lr 402 first year then the other two with atf u . fluid now cherry red . but gear change still the same . i think its a little rough when cold but ok when warm . i must say my mrs got a punto speedgear auto and the gear change is far better than...

not smooth from cold .dont feel right but fine when warm i use manual gear change for first few miles then put it back in auto when warm all ok fine is your smooth when cold then

i use atf u in the auto.the gear change is ok after 5 min when fluid is warm i also use a tunning boxand its set high and on all the time.td4 revs slightly higher on the gear change but work well when towing the caravan,

hi. how do you use as a flushing .wont it just mix with the other fluid left in the jatco box as not all the fluid drains on the fluid change .the box holds about 8ltrs and only 3.5 to 4 ltrs comes out .:confused:

hi...if you havent yet change pollen filter maybe blocking warm air in the heater . if the temp is up to half way i dont think the thermostat is the fault .

only reason they say its a pig of a job takes a few hours on the td4

my thermostat not working . can you tell me if this in-line thermostat" mod will work on td4 . they say it works on the rover 75 diesel :confused: it fits in the top hose
