    Air bag/green slime.

I am also interested in how this worked, to keep a bottle (or 2) in the toolkit incase of emergancys would be a great idea, I wouldnt use it as a long term fix, but as a get you home (/place where you can work on it) bodge, could be a good idea, especially on overland trips.

    billing anybody?

Well, looks like the disco ain't going to be back, after having all 16 hydraulic lifters replaced it still sounds like an industrial sewing machine.. Garage we bought it from are scratching their heads and have taken it to a landy specailist! Glad they are paying not us :D.. Looks like it's...

    over heating

If you've kept the turbo on, then ideally you need the i/c, Also the disco rad (maybe defender?) would be a better bet as it has an oil cooler built into it - turbos generate lots of heat! I don't even have a temperature sender on mine, or a fan.. it's a case of guessing really on it

    billing anybody?

Hopefully either sat or sun. But its dependent on the disco being back from its trip to garage... S3 not very healthy at the moment :(

What have you done to your Landie today.

Started to look at putting the throttle cable onto the TDI rather than the throttle bar that some numpty made by welding nails together when they did the conversion... Rain stopped play  Ah well

    Bloody Black Moneypit....

Did you buy it from a garage/dealer or was it private if you don't mind me asking? If its a garage or a dealer they are liable to fix it as it is 'not as described'

I think she has seized it!!

I'd be going back to the garage who did the fan and rad... Surely they are liable for damage caused by there neglegance.. Ok I know that doesnt help the leaky pipes, but it would solve the pump.

    Comments on leafsprings vs. Coil

Standard shocks and springs on mine.. No articulation problems that I can see!

200TDI engine cuts out when reving

If you pull the pipe of the cyclone breather when its hot does smoke come out? Thats whats happening with my tdi, it had same issues as your describing but the revving/lumpy running/stalling got better after I changed the filter, and cleared almost totally after just making it rev-run...
  15. GasFiredDisco

With my help, dont forget me haha. Least your on now bud!
  16. GasFiredDisco

Series 2 Land Rover Safari Station Wagon

Unbolt that bit, scrape old gasket off, use some instant gasket and bolt it back up... It's a tractor engine, so it should be fine with a farmer type bodge-job :p!
