Any more information? If all the sensors are ok and all the wiring is fine, I would suggest there is either a dodgy switch or a fault with the BCU.

Veg oil is the way to go. Don't think a series diesel will be any better, they are slow noisy lumps and only do mid to low 20s in the mpg department, TDI is much more efficent on diesel and much more powerful.

Yes because these are the most reliable vehicles around, and of course they don't snap 1/2 shafts, blow diffs, **** transmissions and wreck engines.........

Perfectly normal for there to be a slight smell of gas when running on LPG, just like you get a petrolly smell when on petrol, but if your worried - get some of that leak detector spray and spray it all over the pipework for the LPG system, or find out who your local LPG fitter/servicer is, pay...

The s3 has some kenwood radio that I pilfered from a previous vehicle mounted in the dash and 2 old hifi speakers kicking about in the back :D Such a hi-tech audio system :p.. You can actually hear it when its going along, admittedly it has to be volume 23 or above :eek: its great when working...

If you like an agricultural look and something thats fairly nippy and easy to drive, buy a fookin JCB fast-trac. Weld the s3 chassis up, put the disco engine in, retrofit the PAS to it and put the disco axles under it and leave it as a leafer.. That way you will have a s3 that is not bad to...

Didn't get to do off road course - took the nissan primera courtesy car that we have whilst the discos away.. 160-170 miles in the s3 would have been a nightmare lol! Showgrounds a tad muddy in places so boots would be a good idea, but all in all, it was a good day out really.

I find a squirt of wd-40 down the intake usually wakes mine up! Failing that, a can of start ya bastard (easy start :p) usually works. If its been under water, as has already been said - compression test it.

Changed the tyres from huge 11.50s that over-filled the arches to some nice chunky 205s.. Its much nicer to drive now aswell!
