As above I need a 2.5 diesel engine for my 1999 dse as bottom end has gone :-(

I know it's a mission and a lot of work putting a 3.0d engine in a p38 but can the 3.0 bottom end go on the 2.5 head? And would it involve less wiring change just a suggestion I might be asking a ridiculous question if so sorry :( just that with mine now needing a new engine I want to explore...

My 99 p38 dse has broke down loud knocking noise from engine and white smoke out exhaust 150k on the clock. Still starts but sounds like a bag of spanners.

My 300tdi has got a really horrible metalicy rattling sound when decelerating. But it don't do it when accelerating or on tick over. But it also does it when decelerating in neutral as well any ideas?

Thanks for your input I am going to attempt it myself. Just needed to know how to do it do you i4drill out the rivets cut out outer sill and weld box section to inner seal?. How much is box section I've seen 1.4m lengths on ebay for 18 + postage is that about right price per section

Needed a 300tdi pas pump for my disco not 30th as it says above damn predictive text

The front brake pipe on my disco has snapped. Where is the best place to get one its the metal pipe from calliper to flexi hose. Do I have to use solid pipe or will a flexi be OK.

will a v8 power steering pump of a disco 1 fit my 300tdi. probably not but someone has told me they will and wanted to clarify before i tried.
