Have you re-located your computer unit? keeps oil from going down the harness and gives you the extra under seat spece you might need for that?

Come on guys.... a simple nut and bolt streight through with a spring washer does the job just fine!! we have probably 10 vehicles running like this and never any problems. Its a bit of an easy fix .......

10km/l is what I got on mine before i made it roll over and over and over...... good job Disco's are safe..... I now have a 130 TD5 and get 10km/l from it also, thats ov course as long as you keep it under 3000RPM, anything over that and she begins to get THIRSTY .... so i never go over 3000RPM...

why change it if its reliable? have a combustion pressure test done, chemical block test, we had a tdi with similar milage that the driver fried the head gasket due to the idiot not noticing the temp rise after he off roaded and got the radiator full of grass, then decided to do the whole engine...

We have mostly post 2002 model TD5 defenders and all that we have opened have had plastic dowels..is the steel ones realy that mutch better or is it closely the same?

Sounds like the uj's to me, especialy as its a squeeking noise as revs increase.
