I have looked at a few vids on you tube and it seems like a good buy. I do think the extreme is a better and more versatile item after looking at the vids, just because of its increased load capacity and the different bit at the top of the jack. Glad I have it ordered.

How do you clamp and spread with the standard hi lift?

Yep I have ordered the off road kit with it so comes with the chains etc, the only difference I can see is the ability to clamp and spread.

Sold, just ordered one. Like the winching, I will postpone getting a winch for a while and use this if the need arises. It will take a long time to get any distance winching but better than nothing. I also like the spreading idea for emergencies.

Is the High Lift Extreme worth the extra money over the base model? What else does it do?

Thanks sounds like a plan, mine's the LR roof rack so I think something similar with the addition of some foam pipe insulation on the bars it's not fixed to should do the job.

Plenty of Disco's, I have a hilux I need shot of as well as have just replaced it with a 110. I know it's not a LR but ticks all the other boxes.

I like the 7 speed auto petrol and then saying fuel type diesel. However I like the look of it apart from the wheels and the seats which would be an easy fix but too steep for what it is.

Look terrible, also prefer the defendervent.
