Even more annoying questions by me :)

Im also 17, and recently got a Td5 90 HTop, now StationWagon. Trying to keep out of trouble with the Td5 can move quite quickly when required (80+), been totally reliable so far, for almost a year now. You just get used to the lack of heat, though it's not too bad, just start it 5mins...

    TD5's performance drops when warm

Found these two posts on another thread, looks like the same problem to me. Re: TD5 power/revs fade My 2004 90 TD5 is a pain.I have had the new turbo fitted and it goes very well pulling from 1200 revs like a train. When cold i hardly have to touch te accelerator and it flies...

    TD5's performance drops when warm

Mine seems to relate more to engine temp rather than ambient temp, but I'll have a think about that. But I'd have to agree, on a cold morning their is a noticable difference in performance, but I think this is unrelated to the engine temp, but I'll try a warm engine on a cold day, and see...

    TD5's performance drops when warm

My 2001 90, responds excellently when cold, just the slightest prod on the throttle and she accelerates. But when warm, she doesn't seem to be anywhere as near as responsive. You need to press the throttle alot more to get a similar acceleration, and it still doesn't feel as eager. It still...

    Wierd vibrating noise

Since I bought the thing, the gearbox isn't the healthiest of things for only 57000 miles. Usual crunch in second, a slight crunch engaging third sometimes. But not too worried

    Wierd vibrating noise

I haven't yet, had the vehicle since february, only put 1500 miles on it since, needs a service beginning of next year (58000), although it had the obvious stuff done before I bought it (oil changes etc.) or so I was told. Find it strange how it only occurs at a specific engine speed. Took it...

    Wierd vibrating noise

My 01 Td5 90 has started making a wierd vibrating noise coming from the rear end. It occurs at low revs only, in other words when I go to accelerate from 27mph in 5th, i get the vibrating noise up until about 35mph, on anything but very gentle throttle openings. Same from about 25ish mph in...

    Weight on rear door

I'm thinking of making a bike rack to hang on the back of my Defender. I'm probly gonna end up having it bolted to the towbar etc, but out of interest how much more weight can the rear door suport with the spare on the back. Cos it would be easy to hang something over the spare. Adsey
