    fullrun tyres?

Lol, Ive just read 4 pages of those review (god knows how many there are) and it would be hilarious if it wasnt such a serious issue. What surprises me is the number of people running reasonably nice cars (Beemers, Mercs, Jags etc) then putting the cheapest "rubber" they can find on em...

    Rear bumper lights

I think this was possibly an either/or when the bumper lights were introduced for safety reasons in certain markets?! For example my '98 bumper lights work but the side ones dont (I think lol) So the wiring probably isnt there. Standing by to be corrected! Umm or do you mean you have no...

    locked out of my disco

Haha yeh these were piece of cake to get into - I had an 86 Astra that I could open in about 3 seconds with a hacksaw blade and insulation tape* - you just needed to push down not even hook anything! *this was optional but prevented me cutting myself :D

500 miles on one tank. Anyone done better..?

Fair point, I wasnt planning on putting too much in per tank but every little helps. Need to make sure my fuel pump is Bosch first which I think it should be on a 98 auto? ps I have read the threads on it but have one question if I may slightly hijack this thread - litre for litre and I...

To be fair though you didnt say 725 what :p on a related note my 300tdi auto only seems to be managing about 20 at the moment so time to even out the diesel with some golden stuff to save a few pennies methinks :)

Alarm/imobiliser fob must be close to vehicle & needs a few clicks

Just a quick related question - if you lock the vehicle (disco 1 in my case) with the key rather than the remote does it still arm the immobiliser or just lock the car? Would that be a temporary work around to avoid being stranded if fob battery suddenly looks like dying?
