Police can only take the car off you for no insurance - not having a valid RFL is "only" a dvla fine. Even no MOT is still just a fine. Personally I have often bought a car and driven it home with no valid tax, but I always make sure I have insurance. I wouldnt then go driving it round...

Pretty sure it was an option on a lot of the later versions of the D2 mate due to its trickery in the traction control department over the D1.

Disco 2 also longer in the boot (more rear overhang), and the extra seats in the back (if you have them) are completely different and face forwards not sideways. Def not a TD3 lol - dont think you can get a TD5 as early as S reg (Aug 98 - Feb 99) but could be wrong. Its possible that...

That one has not been bid on mate - its had 3 offers - not surprising considering what he is asking! That is also crazy money with the miles and only 4 months test on it. Although to be fair you might be able to flog the plate it comes with for a few hundred...

Tend to agree with others here - Id expect to see that advertised at around the 950 mark with offers. Sure its a lot of car for the money but D1s and early D2s are pretty cheap (to buy at least!) across the board. I think I paid pretty decent money for my 300 - and she's a 98R with 170k...

Pretty sure im gonna look stupid here but how do I know if mine is an edc or not?! Its a 1998 Auto which I think probably should be...? and for what its worth starts absolutely instantly as soon as I turn the key after plugs light has gone out once.

X is late 2000 reg into early 2001. Looks like he has spent a fortune on it and is now trying to recover his money. My biggest issue would be that there is no way you would get an insurance valuation for more than about 2k on a Disco with those miles unless you went (and paid for)...
