i had a m8 this happen to but he had MOT done on his classic mini says 50000miles on paper work he said he never looked at it just happy it passed the next yr the same place for mot and they kicked off at him as the car had 42000 on the clock mot center called the police took weeks to sort out...

check the cooling system has been bleed rite? i change the water reservoir cap (worked for me) if the car running does the blowers in side get warm????
