There isn't a way to turn the SRS light out without having the correct diagnostic equipment to access and clear the codes. Because it's a safety device the codes are hard stored as well so not even disconnecting the battery etc would clear them. You may have to pop into a local garage and get...

Unfortunately accessing the vehicle through an OBD (EOBD) device will only give you limited access - engine management only. That is why you cannot clear the codes. To get a correct diagnoses on what error code the SRS ecu is storing and then go on to fix it, you really need to get it plugged...

You can mix and match clutch kit brand to the flywheel brand that's not a problem - and as far as I'm aware LuK is the brand flywheel TD4 Freelanders have on out the factory. I've also fitted LuK flywheels to TD4 Freelanders and (touchwood) had no issues. :)

Not the best of condition flywheels, even if it would clean up just remember it is a dual mass fly wheel - so if the clutch has been slipping it could have damaged the internals of it from excess heat. If it was mine, I think I'd be looking to replace it for peace of mind. Not a job you want...

Usually it's easier to remove the whole prop shaft if you're replacing the VCU, as this makes seperating the VCU from the front and rear props easier.

Or alternatively spend a whole weekend like I did cutting and plastic welding the facelift rear trim to create curved corners to fit a pre-facelift bumper. :rolleyes:
