Not had the fan on mine for 12 months and it's fine.

Mine does this and I've found if it doesn't start lock it wait about 10secs the unlock it and it starts,hope this helps.

Paddock do a "sports exhaust" for £45 only mild steel though but sounds great and its better performance.

Well the sports exhaust arrived today £43.00 to the door from paddock top service looking forward to the sound.

How about take the glass out and cut some tread plate to the glass size then seal it in effectively blanking the windows out ,that's what I've bin thinking of .

The backbox made a bid for freedom this morning so just weighting up my options. It's got a straight through middle section. - put a new one back on - side exit jobie. - smoke stack. Hmmm.

If it helps I've ran my 300 tdi on veg oil diesel 50/50 mix for a few months now it has more power and a lot less diesel knock.

Whilst trying repair the UJ's on my disco found yet again the previous owner had balls'd up a repair all the prop bolts rounded off,so now a nice easy repair has protracted into a pig of a job,when will people realise if your going to a job DO the bloody thing properly,has anyone else found this.

It's the UJ's on the front prop they're knackered so got some ordered,thanks for the advice peeps.

An update ,whilst waiting for the rear doughnut to arrive there's a squeak from what appears to be under the gearbox so it's looking like front prop UJ's need replacing too.

Zorro did you find out where your squeak came from mine's just developed the same squeal.

The rear doughnut looks a bit iffy so I'll start with that,the onto the UJ's.

Should rule out injectors and trimming it seems to come underneath and not from engine compartment,I do have a spaniel in the back but even he's not that bouncy. Regarding props/ joints should there be any play and is so how much.

Forgot to say it's also intermittent and is not so bad after 30ish mph.

My Disco1 has developed yet another problem, at low speed about 30 mph and only under power ( accelerating ) a bad vibration throug the front half of the car, I had two weeks of my Trouble free motoring I feel special.

The old Disco failed on a suspected Leaky power steering box, but it's not leaking it's just got some oil on when I removed the rad after the cam belt let go, so just got some cleaning to do and a retest GOOD old girl.
