I would remove the switch and check behind it for a starter, if removing the fuse has not worked

Does the freelander have a passanger air bag !! as many dont, for example my 2002 has a grab rail and what I thought was one under neither isnt one ! If not ask the local stealer if your model has one

get a preasure test and dont take no for an answer

Thanks for that, I have just come into work on the way to the garage that did the repair, will need to let the system cool abit before topping it up again, dont want the engine to cool completely as had trouble starting from cold this morning.

Thanks for your repies guess its back to the garage, as I had my head under the bonnet one of my neighbours walked by and said, "dont think its normal to see which smoke from the exhaust" guess that is where the water is going as the CHG has been fitted incorrectly

Ming Appreciate the help I have tightened them, will go to work tomorrow and see if I loose any more water, after that I am stumped and the system has been preasure tested. Any other ideas

Thanks for that, can I assume its the one on the left? What is the one on the right, this has two valves one was partially open the ofther tight The reason I am asking is that even though the chg has been repleaced and pressure tested I am still loosing 1/2 bottle every 100...
