    Paint Stripping

Any advice on stripping the paint off a second hand lift kit I got, before respraying them? They're a bit flaky and a little surface rust, but underneath they are sound. The electric drill wire brush did a great job on the shocks, but the springs are a bit more fiddly! Nitromors was doing quite...

M25 - Digital speed cameras go live!

I agree with regards to the M25 cameras, as that's definately the easiest way to not get caught out, but when it comes to the regular GATSOs, half the issue is when the cheeky money-grabbing robbing basturds stick a 30 camera right after a 40 zone, where the change of speed signs are very poor...

    Frickley this sunday 8th June

Hello! Where abouts are you? I'm not going to be able to make it this Sunday cos I'm off to Eastnor Castle LR show, but some other time for sure... I go out with some lads already but we don't get out enough for my liking! I'd be out every weekend if I had the cash! :D

    gallery

It's a server error you're getting, so has nothing to do with the browser you're using. If you click on a 'featured photo' of any thumbnails it works fine, but if you click on the gallery name it comes up with the error. If nobody knows how to fix this I will be happy to take a look and poke...

another nice fella from nigeria ??

Like forwarding it to someone you don't like?! :D Problem with an auto-responder is that they usually spoof the sender's address and have a separate email address in the body copy which you get to when you read the mail. Best spam I'd ever seen was someone who claimed they'd been paid to kill...

    Road Tax...:-(

What ****es me off is that if I were to personally offset all of my carbon emissions, the government would still charge me exactly the same, with the same premium for having an 'environmentally unfriendly' car etc etc... If they *really* wanted it to be fair, they should tax people per mile...

another nice fella from nigeria ??

Everyone who gets these emails should reply back to the scamming fookers and fill their inbox with ****e. That way any poor suckers who do fall for it might get their emails ironically deleted as 'spam' by accident. A few seconds of your time x 10 million people who received the original message...

    Rolling a Defender

Just been looking through a few pics on here and came across this one of a rolled Defender (http://www.landyzone.co.uk/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=2250)... Just wondering how much damage the average roll is likely to do, and how much it'd cost to fix? Has anyone had the pleasure?

    Fitting a Disco transfer box

It's from a guy I got talking to at the LRO show at Driffield at the weekend and was on about it and he said he had one kicking about. Apparently his mate needed a new gearbox a while ago and the transfer box came with it. I'm told it's done about 60k, and mine has done 34k, but it's not the end...

    Fitting a Disco transfer box

Hi All, I'm going to have a go at fitting a Disco high-range transfer box onto my '02 TD5 90. I do quite a few motorway miles and no towing, and this seems like a logical solution. It's costing about the same price as a tank of fuel so I figure if it gives me slightly better economy then it'll...

Defender 90 TD5 Fuel Whine - HELP PLEASE

It did on mine for some reason! I'm no expert, but I would guess that if the ECU doesn't know how much air is getting in, it won't know how much fuel to bring into the engine. That's why mine was flooding the engine, cos it was over-fueling it as it thought more air was getting in than there...
