I have a rack just not fitted as yet its on my other 90....plus it nicely covered a scratch in the bonnet, £43 cheaper than getting my bonnet sprayed....like ya say each to there own ,would be a boring old world if we were all the same......

Managed to work round this mornings thunder storm and fitted my bonnet chequer plate..gave it a good polish before to remove all the grime,then applying silicone to the rear of chequer then rivet it into place.....some before and after pics......

Managed to sort dodgy rear indicator by stripping and cleaning all connections, then got the grease gun and popped some grease into everything with a nipple :) Got landy on ramps and cleaned the sump up ,found at least four bolts that needed nipping up.Then fitted new steering damper and a new...

Done a few jobs on the landy and took it for a test drive today just to make sure it had stopped clonking on the passenger side suspension, all was fine so went down a local lane to see how it handled in the ruts ,wife took a few pictures along the way :)

Took it for a test drive after doing the shock bushes, handled much better so took a off road detour on the way home.....

Can second sams trim have got my 90 seats and the defender seats retrimmed by her, also did cubby box lid and sun visors too match,she's usually at billing and peterborough show too.

Took advantage of the nice evening and changed front lower shock bushes, had to get the blow torch on the shock nuts as they wouldn't budge,got a bit of heat into them and they cracked off nicely.Shocks been slapping around for a while now ,was nothing left of the old bushes so was a fair bit of...

Finally managed to adjust the steering lock stops, they wouldn't budge so been soaking them in wd40 for past 2 weeks .Then this morning got the socket set and extension bar out and ooooosssshhhh they moved, so now no more tyre catching on full lock.....:)

Why not list the 13 failures...and am sure everyone will advise on cost or parts or how to attempt each job? Sometimes what sounds like a difficult job is doable with a bit of advice...:)

When you say front crossmember...do you mean the gearbox one? If so it unbolts and new one bolts back in place?

Not sure if its right but read somewere that the petrol engined landys were cheaper to insure for the youngsters.?

I have same issue with mine ,steering wheel won't budge tried wd40 down splines tried wiggling and pulling (wife looked out of window and thought I was having a nervous breakdown) more wd40 more pulling and tapping from behind with rubber mallet and still no movement,spoke to engineers at work...

I bought some round ones and they had a backing plate that fixed to body work then the lens fits to the plate,just had to drill new holes for self tappers in body work to fit the backing plate.

If it don't fit ya can usually make it fit,,,shouldn't be hard to do ,you going from square to round ?
